This Sea-Dweller is crafted in stainless steel and equipped with a stainless steel oyster-style bracelet with divers wetsuit extension and micro-adjustable clasp. This timepiece is completely unworn and brand new, arrives with all factory stickers in place, and includes all accessories with the sale. Accessories include original blank and undated warranty card, plastic bezel protector, green chronometer tag, white hang tag, owner’s manual, international warranty booklet, leather warranty card, and booklet holder, box, with outer carton and protective sleeve.
The Sea-Dweller was the first model to be engineered featuring Rolex’s patented Helium Escape Valve (HEV), which was developed in partnership with the US Navy and French deep dive specialists Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises (COMEX). This allows helium and pressure to be released from the watch as the gas expands during decompression after deep-water saturation dives. With extreme engineering, the Helium Escape Value protects the watch and internal movement from damage. Still, it preserves the watch’s water resistance at a staggering 4000 feet or 1220 meters beneath the waves.
